COORANBONG district is destined for a major makeover, with home lots selling briskly to families and a major Coles retail development planned to be built there soon.

More than 3000 land parcels are due to be released at Cooranbong in the next 15 years.

In a sign of the busy times at Cooranbong since July last year, the Johnson Property Group has sold the first 80 lots in its planned 2500-allotment Watagan Park land release.

With more lots soon to be released on this 350-hectare rural site off Avondale Road, the Cooranbong area is taking on a new dimension.

Sales and marketing director for the project, Braden Johnson, said the land release, which is nestled at the foot of the Watagan Mountains, was a magnet for families because of the many natural attractions of the region.

“The fact that people can raise their families in such a healthy, desirable area away from the rat race and still commute to work is a big attraction for them,” Mr Johnson said.

“The release is close to the mountains, the lake and the freeway as well as being located close to Morisset and retail shops, parks, sports facilities and other infrastructure will be part of this major residential growth.”

The Knolls is another prestige residential release being developed, at 41 Deaves Road, Cooranbong.

The licensee and sales manager for The Knolls, Kyle Langley, said the home building lots ranged in size from 500 to 700 square metres and, overall, there would be some 80 blocks in the release.

“The Knolls represents a good opportunity for buyers to be part of a boutique estate offering an ideal country lifestyle,” Mr Langley said.

This estate features large sites and is close to amenities.
