Make the most of our beautifully crisp and gloriously sunny winter days. Enjoy the scent of pine trees and log fires burning, the sweet tang of a locally picked orange or mandarin.

It’s a great time to get outdoors. Hop on your bike and head for scenic Windsor or explore some of the nearby bush trails on two wheels. There are plenty of great local riding options that are suitable for kids of all ages. You’ll love cruising along the river around Windsor, stopping at the many places there are to take in the views, soak up the winter sun rays and reward your cycling efforts with a picnic feast.

In the evenings, get together with friends and neighbours around a crackling open fire to toast marshmallows, tell stories and watch the stars. Or enjoy a slow-cooked Sunday roast in the warmth of your own home, followed by a brisk winter walk.

We have plenty more blog posts coming up in the next few weeks about things to do at Vermont in winter, including some winter DIY projects, and if your family likes to celebrate Christmas in July, we have a post coming up next week full of ideas to make your celebration a hit.

Expect more at Vermont
