Dozens of families enjoyed the recent open day at Bona Vista Park at Vermont, Pitt Town, using the play equipment, walking tracks, barbecue facilities and picnic areas on offer.

Guests had fun with pony rides, face painting, sack races, gumbo throwing and tug-o-war during the open day while the petting zoo, coffee van and sausage sizzle were popular too.

Greg Edwards and the team from Lynwood Country Club also had an inflatable golf clinic for big and little sports enthusiasts.

Local girl Isabella Humberstone had the honour of cutting the ribbon and opening the new park.

“An array of classic and new playground equipment will keep kids of all ages entertained, and it’s all within proximity to the barbecue facilities, so you can keep a close eye on the kids.”
