The newly constructed Maritimo Newcastle Offshore Powerboat was unveiled on the Gold Coast along with a new title sponsorship with Club Marine, Australia’s largest provider of pleasurecraft insurance.

With the state of the art design by Australia’s leading luxury boat manufacturer, Maritimo, the landscape of powerboating in 2015 will be highly competitive and will see the “Club Marine Offshore Superboat” out to stamp its dominance on the field.

“We’re thrilled to partner with such a great and professional company like Club Marine in 2015 and together, we have some exciting plans for the #222 boat”, said Pilot Darren Nicholson. The Club Marine Offshore Superboat will become a regular sight both on and off the water in 2015 with regular appearances at the major national boat shows as well as a full racing calendar domestically and abroad.

The full roar of the Superboats will hit the Newcastle Harbour on this weekend 16th & 17th May. “It’s always great for me to race at home in Newcastle and I’m really looking forward to bringing the new boat to familiar waters”, commented Darren.

Club Marine CEO Simon McLean welcomes a new direction with the Club Marine Insurance brand and is excited by the sponsorship of the Maritimo Newcastle Team. “Club Marine are highly proactive in the Australian marine industry, both from an insurance perspective with our valued customers through to delivering quality events for marine enthusiasts. We’re thrilled with the sponsorship, which will see the Club Marine Offshore Superboat form a major attraction at our largest Boat Shows”.

Maritimo Newcastle also welcome onboard Trinity Point, a $388million luxury residential and commercial marina development on the pristine shores of Lake Macquarie. The landmark features 189 residential homes, 250 luxury apartments and a 5 star luxury hotel. The centerpiece of Trinity Point is a 188- berth marina – the ultimate in exclusive waterfront living. Signature restaurant, café and fitness & wellbeing centre complete this well-appointed waterfront setting. A foreshore boardwalk traces the shores of Barden’s Bay, opening up the water’s edge for residents, visitors and the community, while a state-of-the-art conference centre accommodates corporate clients with ease.

Gold Coast Wraps have also joined the Maritimo Newcastle fold and worked alongside the Team to create a livery for Club Marine, which reflects their professional nature but with a modern twist. “The design had to be eye catching both from a spectator vantage point on the shore watching a race through to the boat being transported and displayed statically at Boat Shows”, said designed and owner of Gold Coast Wraps, Clayton Witney.
